Can’t connect to Internet on PlayStation 3

I know it has to be possible with Win 7. Did this solve your problem? Sorry this didn't help. Tell us about your experience with our site. Hi I just put together a new computer, bought Windows 7, etc. Regular internet connection is fine. Ps3 connection to my computer is fine. I can share files from windows 7 pc to my playstation 3 without any problem.

However none of the regular things are working. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. I have the same question 2. Might have found a solution. Need to check to see if it works But it seems as though tentatively that Win 7 is a joke at assigning various numbers.

This time it seems it didn't want to assign a correct default gateway. Through looking online it just seemed like this was missing whereas it shouldn't of been. I did read something about a gateway too, so I tried to use my internet accesses default gateway and manually input it for this second connection.

Now windows 7 reads that this 2nd public connection has access to the internet. So hopefully it works. Although I have no clue whether or not I will have to do this every time win 7 starts, or the power is unplugged on the modem or what. But it appears it might have worked. How stupid that win 7 can't do something xp clearly did.
